Hey dillon me and some speedrunning friends found your game and have been running. Such a amazing game for runs! Thanks for a great experience P. S our best time atm is 35 flat

We have created a server on discord for speedrunning the game. Feel free to join :) https://discord.gg/99rgSKJE

Hey do you still keep this server up? I would love to join this was the first game I got into for speedrunning! Unfortunately the invite is down.

There's an official server now, as well as a new version of the game that is currently in development! You can playtest it by joining the discord here: https://discord.gg/2zDR2MCQMw

Hey!! Long time no see:)
Basically, yes and no. There are now 2 discord servers, one for the speedrun of the gamejam version which i sent below 95 days ago (quite dead and inactive) and one for general dillon steyl and spring and fall stuff which is really popular and has over 3000 members at last count. Dillon - the maker of the game you played - has adapted the original version of the spring and fall gamejam game and is now developing it to become a indie game. This has a much more active speedrunning community with a new level and new mechanics/ enemies. The game is in a open playtest stage with new updates being pushed roughly once a month and what he's working on twice a week.

Have a nice day!!

Hi, I tried the Linux & Windows version but they are unplayable for me.

The gun spins in all directions and the framerate is close to something like 5 to 10 fps

I believe this is a bug that occurs only on low-end machines. What are your specs like?

Not exactly sure why, but I didn't have time to optimise the game during the one week development timespan. I don't really have a low-end machine to test on.

Thanks for the info - hopefully I can resolve this issue in the upcoming weeks as I continue development

But I do have a decent setup, not super powerful but it has the quadro equivalent of the GTX 960M, which is largely enought to play simple 3D games at high framerate. I suspect the game to be launched with my integrated CPU graphics, but I couldn't find a way to force the use of the GPU on my Linux machine.

I'll keep you updated once I'll have tried it on my windows machine, and checked my hypothesis of the integrated graphics

Oh, fair enough!

The game is not very well optimised. It would be a good idea to implement LODs and reduce the tris (especially on the grass). Also implementing some graphics settings would be helpful, I'm sure the shadow resolution is a bit on the high side too. Please keep me posted, I really appreciate you communicating with me on this and helping out with your feedback.

I have the same problem, my laptop can actually run games like this and it works really great. The FPS is usually 30-60 but for this game its like 10 or 15.

am i cool

My best any% time so far 💜 0:55.59

Wow, that's pretty impressive! You should have recorded it and posted a video!

I do have video of a faster time, 51.33, and a 1:46.85 100%. But my internet is super trash, takes me longer to upload a crappy 244p then it does to actually run it lol. But I was thinking about starting a speedrun.com category and uploading there (after a week cause new acc) if you're chill with that.

Absolutely, please do!

Here's a video of my current pb for any%, I've submitted it to speedrun.com so hopefully the game proposal get's accepted! I just noticed when uploading this you beat my time so i'll have to grind again ig :P

Here's my much less optimized 100% run

Hiii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^

-The idea of the game is great :D

-The gameplay mechanics are quite good and end up giving the player a pretty dynamic gameplay experience.

-It would be great to make this concept bigger, with more levels, polishing a bit the level design and adding one or two gameplay mechanics.

-The game looks great visually and in general the visual style helps to make the game feel quite solid :D

Hopefully this is useful for to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)

Regards

Fantastic ideas and feedback - thanks for taking the time to play!

You are welcome ^^

Hello. I played the game and I was surprised how well it plays. I admit, it took me a while but I managed it. If you are interested then you can check my video here.

Awesome, thank you so much for playing!

No problem. Thanks for making it.

I saw your videos on twitter and I was astonish ! This game is even better when played ! I really love the interactions between the lillies and the vines, boosting yourself on the wall then bounce on the lily.. what an amazing feeling :)

Great job !

Thank you very much, I appreciate the feedback!
